A 50% deposit is non-refundable and due within thirty days from the reservation date. The balance of program is due 90 days prior to arrival. OLS reserves the right to require a minimum number of people to partake in custom program reserved. If the number of program participants drops below 75% of the original number reserved, OLS may add an additional fee to the group. Damage done to facilities or equipment by a member of the group must be reported immediately, is the responsibility of the contracting group and will be billed to same. Cancellation 90 days prior to course date will receive a refund less a 25% administrative fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations received less than 90 days prior to the custom program start date. Payment of deposit indicates agreement to the above conditions. In the event the program changes due to circumstances beyond our control, the responsible party will be notified.


Expenses on food, accommodation, equipment, transportation, medicines and other training expenses during the course.


Have to report to the Director one day in advance along with the Passport and valid Visa for direct admission into a course​.


Serving Armed forces, Para Military and NCC Personnel can only apply as private trainees.

This Institute also conducts special courses for schools and establishments on full cost basis i;e. Rs 1200/- per individual per day for 15 days. These are open and anyone can apply for their confirmation.


Request of transfer of seat on compassionate ground may be considered only once. No Refund of fee is permitted thereafter.


Trainees must arrive an evening before commencement of the course, also late arrivals even by a day will not be permitted to join the course.


In any adventure sports and outdoor training there is an objective hazard to life or limb. It’s highly recommended to have an Adventure Sports Insurance cover and recently there are several insurance providers with in India such as Bajaj Allianz General Insurance with an add-on adventure sports cover in its Global Personal Accident Plan. This is targeted at travellers who indulge in adventure sports, and it lets them pick from a variety of covers like accident hospitalisation and air ambulance evacuation.


OLS accords highest priority to selecting experienced high quality ‘Outdoor Experts’ who are trained under the guidance of Col VS Malik, a former Gorkha Rifles officer and then go through a process of certification from Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), Nehru Mountaineering Institute (NMI), which are both run by the Army. The Outdoor Experts are also trained in First Aid from Red Cross and from fitness and health centers on regular basis. This gives strong credibility to the workforce and all are participants vouch for their expertise, knowledge, conduct and behavior at sites.
